Baghdad / Obelisk: The Federal Integrity Commission announced the seizure of cases of embezzlement and manipulation at the Zurbatiya border port customs, in cooperation with the Border Ports Authority.
The Investigation Department of the Integrity Commission stated in a statement received by Al-Masalla: We were able, in coordination with the Border Crossings Authority, to carry out a qualitative control operation at the Zirbatiya border customs, which resulted in the arrest of three accused of embezzlement, transactions, consignments, and entry chips suspected of being tampered with.
She added that our staff in Wasit Governorate, in cooperation with the Zurbatiya port administration, also managed to seize (1714) transactions, (7) consignments, and (6) deposit chips suspected of being tampered with by the arrested suspects.
And she added that the preliminary investigations showed that the arrested defendants embezzled tax fees by manipulating the dollarization of the goods in the copy of the customs declaration located in the tax unit located in the customs with the intention of collecting tax amounts for only one customs declaration, while the remaining amounts of fees are embezzled from the seized defendants, in addition To charge them fees that are less than the prescribed limit.
The department pointed out that the statements of the accused, against whom the arrest warrant was issued based on the provisions of Article (315) of the Penal Code, were recorded, as they will be presented to the judge of the Kut Investigation Court, the Guard, to decide their fate.
