The Holy Shrine announced its contract with a company to establish a solar-powered electricity production plant.

The deputy head of the media department at the shrine, Abu al-Hasan Mohieddin, said in a statement to the official newspaper, followed by "NAS" on Monday (March 6, 2023), that "the station's location is located west of the center of Najaf province, and it is scheduled to produce 400 megawatts upon completion, so that the shrine can feed all its facilities and projects with energy through it.
