    Netherlands sign a number of investment projects with the province of Maysan

    September 16, 2014 

    Signed Dutch Ambassador Permanent Representative to Iraq Janiet Robin, on Sunday, a memorandum of understanding for a number of investment projects with the local government in the Iraqi province of Maysan.

    The Information Office of the Governor of Maysan Ali Douai, in a statement received "tomorrow's Press," that the "Meet the Dutch Ambassador Robin Janiet with the governor of Maysan Ali Douai and a number of members of the local government focused on the Netherlands to support projects of industry and agriculture in the province." 

    According to the statement, confirmed the governor of Maysan Ali Douai of the Dutch ambassador, "the possibility of providing multiple facilities in order to encourage Dutch companies to work in Iraq." 

    He added that "Douai put a number of projects proposed for the establishment of industrial zones, multi-purpose and broaden the base of absorbing Maysan to absorb unemployment." 

    For his part, Robin, "the desire of Dutch companies to open new markets in the region, especially in the provinces of Iraq due to the promising economic future." 

    The Dutch ambassador emphasized earlier, her country's desire to open strong economic relations based on common interests with the local governments of the southern provinces of Iraq. 

    The province of southern Iraq enjoyed a relatively stable security compared to other governorates, but they are experiencing in times spaced events security falls mostly within the tribal differences.
