    Baghdad today - Baghdad
    Today, Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein received copies of the credentials of ten non-resident ambassadors to Iraq at the ministry's building in Baghdad.
    The ambassadors are: Dominican Republic, George Bahsa Hazim, Republic of Latvia, Joris Boykans, United Mexican States, Luis Alfonso de Alba, Kingdom of Thailand, Subark Prongtol, Republic of Ireland, Marian Bolger, Kingdom of Belgium, Serge Duchen, Republic of Lithuania, Ramunas Davidonis. Alberto Gonzalez-Caslas, Republic of Cuba Socialist Republic of Vietnam Long Koc Huyi, Republic of Uruguay Nelson Jamil Shaaban.
    While receiving the ambassadors separately, the Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that: "Iraq's foreign policy is based on establishing strong balanced relations based on strengthening political, economic and commercial cooperation, and overcoming differences and tensions in the region through dialogue and convergence."
    He pointed out, "Joint international and regional cooperation to confront immediate global challenges is a necessity, most notably continuing to combat terrorism and extremism, addressing economic fluctuations and health crises, and confronting severe climate changes that pose a threat to everyone."
    And he indicated, "Iraq is looking forward to achieving a distinguished presence in relations with the countries of the world, and working to develop bilateral relations in areas of common interest, expressing Iraq's endeavor to coordinate diplomatic positions between friendly countries in issues, regional and international developments, usually; that relations are based on Geographical proximity as a basis, in addition to the foundations and principles of political positions.
