Baghdad - Mawazine News,
a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, Muhammad Hanoun, said, on Wednesday, that the decision of the Council of Ministers to withhold the ration card concerns those who receive a salary of two million dinars or more.
Hanoun added, "The ministry has prepared books and sent them to the relevant ministries to implement the Prime Minister's decision related to preparing the food basket for families whose salaries are less than two million dinars."
He pointed out that "the ministry has received the books from the bodies and ministries, and the necessary procedures have been taken and work is underway on them, and those books will be determined from his salary of less than two million dinars," according to the official news agency.
And he continued, "Any merchant registered in the Companies Registrar's Department will be included in the decision to deduct or withhold the ration card, and the same applies to doctors, engineers and pharmacists," stressing that "all companies are registered with the department and there is no unregistered company."
