Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Transport and Communications revealed that agreements have been concluded with the World Bank to purchase modern electric buses to transport citizens in the capital, Baghdad.
"There are understandings with the World Bank to provide support to the public company for transporting passengers and delegations in the ministry in order to purchase these buses," said the ministry's spokeswoman, Shatha Rady.
Pointing out that the contracts are among the plans that are in line with the package launched by the Prime Minister to reduce traffic congestion.
Radi added, "The Minister of Transport and Communications directed to find appropriate solutions to this problem, as the ministry is a member of the higher committees formed to address the problem of overcrowding."
