The profits of the Islamic Bank of Iraq grew by 175% during the second quarter of the year 2023 compared to the same period in the year 2022.
According to its budget, the Islamic Bank of Iraq achieved a profit of 33.3 billion dinars until the end of the second quarter of the current year, while its profits were 12.1 billion dinars during the quarter The second of last year. This profit comes after an increase in banking operations revenues by 117%.
The bank's assets increased by 14%, reaching 1.6 trillion dinars, and the bank's deposits increased by 31.4%, amounting to 672.6 billion dinars.
The cash credit granted by the bank increased by 26%, reaching 510.3 billion dinars, while it was 405.6 billion dinars at the end of last year.
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Islamic Bank was established in 1992, with a capital of 250 billion dinars, and has 15 branches throughout Iraq.
