[rtl]The Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs, Ali Maarej Al-Bahadli, received a high-ranking delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Energy, headed by the Assistant Minister of Energy for Oil and Gas Affairs in the Kingdom, Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Brahim and his Engineer accompanying delegation, which included a number of officials and advisors in the Ministry of Energy and Saudi Aramco.
After that, a joint meeting was held between the Iraqi and Saudi sides, in the presence of a number of ministry officials, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Oil in Baghdad.
The Undersecretary said: In implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shayaa Al-Sudani, to invest gas and stop burning it throughout the country, we recently held discussions with the Saudi side, through which we affirmed the common desire to strengthen the strategic partnership between Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of optimal investment for the Akkas and Mansouriya gas fields.[/rtl]
[rtl]In addition to the fields and patches offered for competition in the appendix of the fifth and sixth licensing round, pointing to the continuation of coordination and consultation on issues of common interest, which aims to achieve the interests of the two countries and enhance investment opportunities in Iraq.[/rtl]
[rtl]For his part, the head of the delegation, Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Ibrahim, expressed his country's desire to participate and enter into a number of investment projects in the oil and gas sector in Iraq, stressing the agreement of the two sides to continue the dialogue during the next few days.[/rtl]
