Today, Wednesday, Al-Rafidain Bank instructed to collect cash deposits in Iraqi dinars.
The bank said in a statement received by the agency, "In line with the government's directives to deal in Iraqi dinars instead of the dollar and to enhance its strength in the local market, it was decided to collect all cash insurances in the Iraqi dinar currency exclusively with regard to internal credits, bank guarantees and letters of guarantee issued in the interest of government and private beneficiaries, even if the insurances are in dollar currency and at the official exchange rate."
He added, "Payment of the sums of the letters of guarantee upon confiscation is exclusively in the Iraqi dinar and at the official exchange rate as well." Ended/25
