Mesopotamia directs the fulfillment of cash insurance in dinars instead of dollars

{Economic: Al Furat News} Al-Rafidain Bank announced that all cash insurances will be collected exclusively in the Iraqi dinar currency, in line with government directives to deal in dinars instead of dollars and to enhance its strength in the local market.
A bank statement, of which {Euphrates News} received a copy, indicated that the directive concerns "internal credits, bank guarantees, and letters of guarantee issued for the benefit of governmental and private beneficiaries, even if the insurances are in dollars and at the official exchange rate."
The statement added that "the payment of the sums of the letters of guarantee upon confiscation shall be exclusively in the Iraqi dinar and at the official exchange rate as well."
