    The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, hosted this evening, Tuesday, the periodic meeting of the State Administration Coalition, during which the general conditions in the country were discussed, the progress of implementing government plans prepared in various sectors, and the most prominent achievements within the priorities of the government program that serve to advance the service reality. and economic in general.

    A statement by Al-Sudani's office, a copy of which "NAS" received, stated (August 22, 2023), "The parliamentary issue was discussed, and the importance of coordination between the executive and legislative authorities, in a way that helps in addressing many important files."  
      
    He added, "The meeting touched on the ongoing preparations for holding provincial elections next December, and the importance of continuing to support the elements of success in holding fair, impartial and transparent elections, as well as discussing a draft amendment to the Independent High Electoral Commission law, and proceeding with its legislative procedures, in accordance with constitutional and legal mechanisms, with Taking into account the comments made.  
      
    And he continued, "The meeting reviewed the results of the visit of the Iraqi security delegation headed by the Minister of Defense to the United States of America, in drawing up the future relationship between the two countries, and the meeting emphasized support for the dialogue efforts that the government is making with the United States of America, in a way that enhances national sovereignty and preserves the supreme interests of the country in various fields".  
      
    He pointed out that "the meeting also emphasized the activation of the parliamentary oversight role, and the need for all ministries and governorates to adhere to the disbursement mechanisms approved in the financial budget and not to use them in the electoral process, in a way that violates the principle of equal opportunities and indicates the exploitation of office and public money."  
      
    The meeting urged the ministerial committee concerned with the draft oil and gas law to complete its discussions with technicians in the Federal Ministry of Oil and the Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and to proceed with the maturation of the draft draft, according to the statement.
