Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani affirmed today, Thursday, that Iraq has promising investment opportunities and the government provides the necessary support and facilities, while indicating that the government is establishing projects that are integrated with the promising development path project.
Al-Sudani said in a speech during the launch of the "Rixos Baghdad" project by the Qatari Investment Holding Company, that "the Rixos Baghdad tourism project is the first project within the context of cooperation between Iraq and Qatar," noting that "Qatar has pioneering investment companies and experiences."
He added, "Cooperation between Iraq and Qatar began with the visit of its Emir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and this project will be a distinctive architectural landmark," explaining, "The design was inspired by cultural landmarks and will be an architectural masterpiece worthy of Baghdad."
He continued, "The project will be tourism, service and developmental," noting that "Arab investment in Iraq is one of the gateways to partnership and integration, and Baghdad today is the heart of commercial, cultural, political and economic activity."
He stressed, "Iraq has promising investment opportunities and the government provides the necessary support and facilities," explaining that "Iraq has a solid base of resources, opportunities and capabilities."
The Prime Minister pointed out that "we are establishing projects that are integrated with the promising development path project."
