Revealing the goals of Iranian movements on the borders of Kurdistan: What is the relationship with Mahsa Amini?

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Today, Sunday (September 17, 2023), member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Party, Muhammad Haj Omar, denied that Iran has any intention to launch a ground military operation in the Kurdistan region.
Haj Omar said in an interview, “The military mobilizations carried out by Iranian forces on the border strip with Iran are aimed at preventing the demonstrations that will be launched in conjunction with the first anniversary of the protests against the assassination of Kurdish activist Mahsa Amini.”
He added, "Military mobilizations are normal and have nothing to do with the presence of a military operation inside the territory of the Kurdistan region at all."
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Earlier, informed security sources revealed the presence of movements of Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces on the Iraqi-Iranian border from the Kurdistan region.
Iran has long accused the Iraqi Kurdistan region of harboring armed groups involved in attacks against it, which in turn prompted the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to repeatedly target the bases of those groups.
The sources reported, “There are movements of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces and military concentrations in the Iranian regions of Marivan and Horaman, adjacent to Halabja Governorate in the Kurdistan region.”
She added, “Units of the Revolutionary Guard and armored vehicles have been moved, and there are deployments of reconnaissance photographic aircraft in the areas of Penjwen, Koysanjak, and Rania, which are the areas where the Iranian Kurdish opposition parties are present, and it is not known if there is an intention to launch a ground military operation yet.”

Details:
On the twenty-eighth of last August, Hisham Al-Rikabi, the media advisor to the Prime Minister, revealed the details of the security agreement with Iran regarding armed groups in the north of the country, saying that it stipulates three points, which are preventing the infiltration of militants and handing over wanted persons in accordance with the law, in addition to disarmament and removing... Camps.
The Iraqi advisor sent a message to neighboring countries stating that Baghdad will prevent the presence of any armed groups that threaten the security and safety of those countries, and stressed his country's keenness to maintain the relationship with its neighbors, especially those linked to relations that he described as strong.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry had previously announced that Tehran and Baghdad had reached an agreement to disarm what it called “armed terrorist groups” in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, transfer them to other places next month, and close their military headquarters.
Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in a weekly press briefing, “Iran and Iraq have reached an agreement under which Iraq commits to disarming separatist militants and terrorist groups present on its territory, closing their bases, and moving them to other places before next September 19.”
The Iranian spokesman did not specify the locations to which the militants would be transferred.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry stressed that “if the agreement is not implemented on time, we will fulfill our responsibilities towards the terrorist groups in Iraqi Kurdistan.”
Tehran usually accuses the autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan region of harboring what it considers terrorist groups involved in attacks against Tehran, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has often targeted the bases of those groups.
Banish the opposition
On Tuesday (September 12, 2023), Iran stressed that no party should harm the security of Iraq's neighboring countries, at a time when Iraq began removing armed groups from the Iranian Kurdish opposition from the border areas.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian confirmed - during his meeting with the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Party, Pavel Talabani, in Tehran - that the presence of what he called terrorist groups in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and their movements against Iranian national security are inconsistent with the Iraqi constitution and friendly relations between the two countries.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry quoted Talabani as saying that Iraq will not allow harm to be caused to countries in the region from its territory, especially Iran.
On the other hand, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said on Tuesday (September 12, 2023) that his country had begun transferring Iranian Kurdish groups from the border of the Iraqi Kurdistan region with Iran to camps far from the border.
Hussein said in a press conference, “Based on the agreement between the Iranian government and the Iraqi government, the necessary measures were taken to remove these groups from the border areas, and they were housed in remote camps deep in Iraqi Kurdistan.”
