    Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Communications announced the launch of a national platform for vehicle tracking, while confirming the opening of major projects in the coming days.
    The Minister of Communications, Hiam Al-Yasiri, said in a press conference on the occasion of the launch of the National Vehicle Tracking Platform (GPSLVN), that “the Ministry is moving towards the e-government and digital movement program,” indicating that “electronic automation is a priority of the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani and his direct support.”
    She explained, “The vehicle tracking project is one of the lagging projects despite its high importance,” noting that “the Ministry followed up on the obstacles and obstacles facing the project, and worked with great efforts from the General Company for Communications and Informatics and its diligent management to improve the contractual environment for the project and move it forward.”
    She added, "This project is one of the important projects and is part of the digital transformation in Iraq and the adoption of electronic platforms to track vehicles, in addition to being one of the methods of reducing corruption," noting that "Al-Salam General Company has ideas and projects to track vehicles for transporting oil and reduce... It is smuggled by electronically tracking oil tankers.”
    She pointed out that "this project will serve many state institutions as well as citizens and private sector companies," stressing "the Ministry's support for the private sector and its companies that are committed to the law and policies that comply with state directives and work to serve the citizen."
    She continued, "What distinguishes the project is that it was made entirely by Iraqi hands, as young Iraqis worked on programming the Iraqi platforms and intellectual property," noting that "there are large projects that will be opened in the coming days."
    She stated that "in the next year of the government's life, there will be other fruits and projects at the regional and global levels." Ended/25
