    Information/Baghdad..
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, affirmed, on Monday, Iraq’s firm position in standing up to deportation attempts in the Gaza Strip, calling on the European Union to take a clear stance against the siege imposed on Gaza and to help open the Rafah crossing to send humanitarian support to the region.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received by the “Al-Ma’louma” Agency, stated that “Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, received the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Thomas Seiler, where during the meeting they discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and the European Union, and ways to expand economic partnership and cooperation in various fields.” The areas were discussed, and the most important regional events were discussed, especially what is happening in occupied Palestine.
The Foreign Minister stressed “Iraq’s firm position to stand against deportation attempts in the Gaza Strip,” calling on the European Union and European governments to “take a clear stance against the siege imposed on Gaza and help open the Rafah crossing to send humanitarian support to the region, and to stand clearly against the policy of deporting the people of Gaza.” To Sinai in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
For his part, Ambassador Thomas Seiler expressed "the European Union's desire to expand the horizons of cooperation with Iraq, and thanked the efforts made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen relations between the two sides." Ended/25
