    Shafaq News/ Today, Tuesday, Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received an official invitation from the Egyptian President to participate in an emergency summit to be held in Cairo regarding the events in Gaza.
    The Sudanese media office said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani received an official invitation from the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, to participate in an emergency summit to be held in Cairo, indicating that the summit “includes a group of leaders and leaders.” Arab and regional countries, to discuss the dangerous conditions witnessed by the Gaza Strip and the attacks against our Palestinian people.

    On the same level, Al-Sudani received, today, Tuesday, the President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the current situation in the occupied Palestinian territories was reviewed, and the attacks directed by the Zionist occupation forces against defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip and their dangerous repercussions.
    Al-Sudani reiterated, according to a statement issued by his office, Iraq’s firm and principled positions based on the position of our people and their moral and legal commitment towards the brotherly Palestinian people, indicating the continuation of political and diplomatic work and the continuation of consultations with leaders of the region and the world in order to contain the crisis and end the tragic suffering of the Palestinians.
    For his part, Fattouh thanked the declared official Iraqi positions, appreciating the efforts being made in the course of work to confirm and consolidate the Palestinian right.

    Yesterday, Monday, US President Joe Biden spoke via telephone with Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, as part of his efforts to contain the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, according to a White House statement.
    Later, the Sudanese media office said that during the call, the ongoing field developments in the Palestinian territories were discussed, and the importance of mobilizing efforts and joint work to support sustainable stability in the region was emphasized, as well as efforts to strengthen the bilateral partnership relationship between Iraq and the United States of America, according to the framework agreement. strategy between the two countries.
    During the call, according to the Iraqi government statement, the two sides stressed the need to contain the conflict and work to prevent the expansion of the circle of war, which targets civilians and threatens regional and international peace and stability.
