    Shafaq News/ Tunisian and Algerian media reported, on Saturday, that “Tunisia and Algeria” are boycotting the Cairo summit, which begins in the Egyptian capital today, Saturday, due to the presence of an Israeli delegation.  
    Tunisian Radio Mosaique said that Tunisia will not participate in the Cairo Peace Summit, which Egypt will host today, Saturday.
    Mosaique quoted informed sources as saying that the summit will be attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, French President Emmanuel Macron, King Abdullah II of Jordan, the Emir of Qatar, the Emir of Kuwait, the Iraqi prime minister, and the Mauritanian president, whose country will host an Arab summit on economic development in early November.     According to Mosaique, European Council President Charles Michel and Turkish President Erdogan will also attend the summit. Morocco, Bahrain and Germany will also participate with one or more ministerial representation, along with member states of the UN Security Council.
    Tunisian radio sources indicated that Israel will participate with a diplomatic delegation, a delegation from the United States, and envoys representing Russia and China, while Iran’s invitation is still under study.
    For its part, the Algerian newspaper "Al-Shorouk" said that Algeria refused to participate in the "Egypt Peace Summit", which Cairo is hosting today, Saturday, to discuss the Palestinian issue, in light of the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip.
    While the Cairo News Channel explained that there is widespread participation in the Cairo Peace Summit in the Administrative Capital in response to the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, confirming the presence of the leaders of Qatar, Turkey, Greece, Palestine, the Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Italy and Cyprus, in addition to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio. Guterres.
    Today, Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani left the capital, Baghdad, to participate in the work of the Egypt International Peace Summit 2023, in the presence of many countries, to discuss reducing the escalation in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories.
    The Gaza Strip is still being subjected to Israeli bombing since the Hamas movement and other Palestinian factions launched Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” on October 7, which was met with the Israeli “Operation Iron Swords.”
    The death toll from the Israeli bombing exceeded 4,000, while more than 13,000 others were injured.
