Today, Tuesday (October 24, 2023), the Central Bank of Iraq announced the launch of the customer’s instant photo feature, while directing banks to adhere to and be accurate when entering customer data into the platform.
“Baghdad Today” obtained a document issued by the Central Bank of Iraq on today’s date, addressed to licensed banks and mediation companies for buying and selling foreign currencies, which included a directive to acquire a high-resolution webcam in order to launch the customer’s instant image feature.
According to the document, the bank also warned against violating the directive and threatened to expose banks and companies to a penalty that could amount to being deprived of the foreign currency selling window in the event of committing related violations and errors.
