The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry called on the Iraqi authorities to clarify the position of the head of the Parliamentary Rights Bloc, Saud Al-Saadi, regarding his crossing the lines dividing the two countries and issuing threats towards Kuwait.

She explained, “Al-Saadi made some threats towards Kuwait, and Ambassador Ahmed Al-Bakr stated that this call was friendly and brotherly and not a protest, but rather his country’s authority is requesting an official clarification from the Iraqi authorities for this step taken by Representative Saud Al-Saadi and his accompanying delegation, stressing that passing The dividing line between the two countries without official permission is an infringement on Kuwait’s sovereignty.”
