The Ministry of Transport took effective steps towards lifting the European ban on the national carrier, in conjunction with its development programs for the Green Bird, while launching discounts on flights to all its Arab and international destinations. Director of the Ministry's Media Office, Maytham Al-Safi, told Al-Sabah: The follow-up committee on the issue of lifting the European ban on the national carrier, which was formed by the Ministry, is continuing its procedures to diagnose and address deficiencies during the past period, while applying all international standards to ensure the return of the green bird to the skies.
He added that it was able, in a record period, to increase the international and Arab destinations to which it operates, in addition to modernizing its fleet of aircraft with the addition of 13 modern aircraft contracted with the Canadian Airbus and the American Boeing, doubling the number of flights, and launching system services.
