    {Economic: Al-Furat News} The Central Bank of Iraq lifted restrictions on the ceilings of electronic payment cards.
    According to a letter from the bank to all banks, a copy of which {Al-Furat News} obtained said, “In addition to our circulars No. 14/1042 and 2033 on 5/21 and 8/17/2023, we would like to inform you that the instructions contained in the two circulars are specific to the ceilings and limits of prepaid cards.” It is conducted exclusively, and with regard to the ceilings and limits of transactions related to debit cards and credit cards, they are subject to the bank’s internal policy, and it emphasizes the importance of adhering to informing the public and your customers that these limits and ceilings are within your bank’s policy, with the necessity of adhering to due diligence procedures. “Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Law No. 3 of 2015, as well as relevant international rules, frameworks and practices.”
