    Information/Baghdad..
The Secretary-General of the Bayraq Al-Khair Party, Muhammad Al-Khalidi, confirmed that the competition to succeed the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, whose membership was terminated by the Federal Court, is “among 6 candidates,” noting that the “Al-Azm” coalition is the most likely to obtain the position.
Al-Khalidi said, in a televised interview followed by “Al-Maalouma”: “The decisions of the Federal Court are clear, and I do not think that there is a political matter in the matter, but rather a flagrante delicto.”
He added, “The culprit is either killed by his own hands, or forged, or communicated with a prohibited foreign party, and these matters are what lift immunity and allow the representative or any other official in the state to be held accountable without referring to his institution,” indicating that the other matter is “perjury.” The Federal Court
was I have decided to “terminate the membership of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Rekan Al-Halbousi, and to terminate the membership of Representative Laith Mustafa Hamoud Al-Dulaimi, as of the date of issuance of the ruling on 11/14/2023, a final decision that is binding on all authorities.”
