{Local: Al-Furat News} The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khaled Battal, announced today, Sunday, that preliminary agreements and understandings had been reached between the ministry’s companies and private sector companies regarding a number of investment opportunities and projects that were announced and presented at the first industrial partnerships forum currently being held in Basra Governorate.

Battal said, in a press conference attended by a Al-Furat News correspondent, that: “During the forum, direct meetings were held with industrialists and investors to discuss with them, listen to their problems and proposals, and find solutions to overcome some obstacles and grant preliminary approvals for some projects.”
He stressed, "The opportunities and projects announced for partnership will be available to all those wishing to work with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to establish new factories and projects to achieve transparency and fair competition."
