Specialists in economic affairs confirmed that the delay in releasing financial allocations in the 2023 budget could negatively affect the national economy and prolong the completion of service projects and infrastructure projects. Hussein believes that “delaying the launch of investment expenditures has negative effects on the national economy, and that prolonging the implementation period of projects results in a weakness in economic feasibility, and delaying the completion period leads to technological obsolescence, extinction, and the loss of many advantages, as a result of storage, weather factors, etc.”Indicating that “delaying the implementation period leads to a prolongation and perpetuation of the period of poverty and deprivation, especially in some projects that directly affect the lives of citizens, such as hospitals, schools, water, electricity, sanitation projects, and others, despite the great efforts made by the government in this aspect, Which has greatly succeeded in completing dozens of these service projects during the past short period.”Hussein believes that, in the face of these challenges and their negative effects on the national economy, a complementary investment budget must be allocated To finance lagging strategic projects due to lack of financial allocation, especially those whose completion rates exceeded 75 percent, as the financial abundance achieved from the recovery of oil prices can help secure the amounts necessary for this budget, provided that they are surrounded by the utmost degree of control and caution in the field of implementation and follow-up to ensure the exclusion of these projects.
