Today, Saturday (December 30, 2023), the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alenia Romanski, announced the provision of $73 million to Iraq to enable the government to cooperate with civil society and local communities to improve public services.
Romanski said in a blog post on the (X) platform, followed by “Baghdad Today,” that “the Iraqi government’s goal of supporting community participation and effective local governance is a basic priority within the comprehensive American-Iraqi partnership.”
She added, "The United States Agency for Middle East Development provided $73 million through the "Iraq Together" program to enable the government to cooperate with civil society and local communities to improve public services."
