    Today, Saturday, the Parliamentary Services Committee called on the government to expedite sending the draft slum law that serves 5 million citizens.

    Committee member Haider al-Jubouri said, in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, that “the current government is in the process of preparing a realistic structure and an organized study of the slum treatment law.” 
    He added, "The population of slums has reached 5 million citizens across all governorates," pointing out that "Baghdad ranks first in the number of slums." 
    He pointed out that "the Services Committee is working in a service and humanitarian direction towards the Iraqi citizen and developing solutions by reconsidering the law to address slum areas." 
    The Parliamentary Services Committee had previously called on the Council of Ministers to expedite sending the draft abuses law to Parliament in order to proceed with its legislation. Ended / 25 H
