    [size=45]Yesterday, Monday, the Baghdad Provincial Council confirmed its intention to work to reduce the rate of poverty and unemployment in the capital after its increase over the past years.[/size]
    [size=45]Council member Ola Al-Tamimi said, “The Baghdad Provincial Council will work in coordination with the local government to develop an integrated work program in order to reduce the rate of poverty and unemployment in the capital after its rise over the past years, especially as there is support for this matter from the central Iraqi government.”[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Tamimi stated, “The Baghdad Governorate Council will work to resolve many of the pending appointment files related to contracts and daily wages. The Council will work to find new opportunities and work to greatly activate the private sector in the capital. All of these factors will help reduce the rate of poverty and unemployment.”[/size]
    [size=45]For its part, the Baghdad Provincial Council confirmed that the work of the new local government during the coming period will focus on the reality of services of various kinds in the capital.[/size]
    [size=45]Council member Aseel Al-Khalidi said, “The work of the Baghdad Governorate Council and the work of the local government will focus on the service file of all kinds. There is a serious intention to develop the reality of services for the better, especially in light of the interest in this file from the central government.”[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Khalidi stated, “We will work to provide sufficient financial allocations during the 2024 budget in order to improve the reality of services. We will also work to provide school buildings to relieve bottlenecks in some schools and work to reduce triple shifts. The next stage is the stage of rebuilding Baghdad and taking care of it, after years of neglect.” “.[/size]
    [size=45]Last Monday, the Baghdad Provincial Council elected Abdul Muttalib Al-Alawi as governor of the capital, Baghdad, while Ammar Hussein Al-Qaisi was voted in as president of the Baghdad Provincial Council, and Muhammad Jassim Hammoud, from the Nebni Alliance, was voted in as vice president of the Baghdad Provincial Council.[/size]
