[size=45]Today, Saturday, the General Traffic Directorate announced the start of receiving citizens with the electronic payment system (Visa Card system) for all vehicle registration transactions and granting driving licenses.[/size]
[size=45]Director of the Directorate of Public Relations and Information at General Traffic, Brigadier General Ziad Al-Qaisi, said, “Under the guidance of the Minister of Interior, and under the direct supervision of the Director of General Traffic, the Directorate began receiving citizens with the electronic payment system (Visa Card system) for all vehicle registration transactions and granting driving licenses.” .[/size]
[size=45]Al-Qaisi added, “Citizens can, at present, pay in two stages, namely electronic payment or cash payment, but within a specific period, as the date of next May 1 has been set as the last date for cash payment,” calling on “citizens to go to the centers to obtain a card.” Visa Card, in addition to the presence of kiosks that began operating in the General Traffic Directorate, according to the Council of Ministers’ decision issued on 12/31/2023, which includes stopping the registration of bicycles of all types.”[/size]
[size=45]Al-Qaisi continued, “The bicycles that were registered are no longer in use,” noting that “the General Traffic Directorate monitors traffic and traffic, as bicycles whose driver has not obtained an annual license will be impounded.”[/size]
