[size=31] The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee revealed, on Wednesday, the foiling of an American plan to make Iraq’s western borders a hot zone and a corridor for terrorists.[/size]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]A member of the Parliamentary Security Committee, Representative Waad Al-Qaddu, told Al-Maalouma, “The Popular Mobilization Forces succeeded in thwarting the American scenario in the west of the country, by placing its forces close to the border with Syria and adopting an important fortification strategy that yielded important results, most notably reducing infiltration rates by up to 95%.” %".
He added, "The agenda of turning Iraq's western borders into a hot arena and an outlet for terrorist infiltration has been thwarted thanks to the great sacrifices of the Mobilization Forces brigades, and this explains their exposure to bombing from time to time by the American forces that are trying to find a loophole to pass their agenda."
He pointed out that "the presence of the PMF in the regions of western Iraq is strategic and vital."
Several brigades of the Popular Mobilization Forces are deployed in western Iraq and perform important duties in defending vast lines. End 25F
