The head of the committee, MP Atwan Al-Atwani, said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency. Nina /, “We met with the Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, to take stock of the financial aspects, financing the operational budget, implementing the Federal Court’s decision regarding the localization of the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees, and discussing the general budget schedules that are supposed to reach the House of Representatives before the end of the current year,” noting the agreement to keep the 2023 budget paragraphs. Regarding appointments and contracts, they are effective and implemented during the current year 2024.
He added, "Funding the salaries of the region's employees in accordance with the decision of the Federal Court will be according to two paths," the salaries for the month of February will be sent according to the lists submitted by the Kurdistan Regional Government and disbursed with the approval of the federal government. As for the salaries of the coming months, the region's authorities will be obligated to localize the salaries of employees, retirees, and social care. Accordingly, all dues are financed within the ceiling of the financial allocation to the Kurdistan region in the general budget, and it does not exceed 12.67%,” indicating that “the nationalization ceiling is available to all employees and institutions operating in the region, and there are institutions that work directly to localize salaries, so the funding will be in accordance with what has been localized.” In government banks.”
