The Prime Minister's Advisor for Transport Affairs, Nasser Al-Asadi, confirmed today, Saturday, that the development method has become a very urgent need at the regional and global levels, while indicating the existence of extensive coordination and discussions with the Turkish side regarding the project.
Al-Asadi told the official agency, followed by Al-Eqtisad News, that “the development method project has become a very urgent need due to the political changes in the region and the ongoing wars and their impact on the waterways that transport from Europe to Asia and vice versa.”
He added, "There is an urgency from all countries of the world to have safe corridors, and the Iraqi road is a very safe and short corridor that reduces time and costs, and thus it has become a requirement that must be implemented."
He pointed out that "there is extensive coordination and discussions with the Turkish side regarding the development road project, which has become the only solution for the passage of goods in light of the hot political situation in the region."
