[size=45]The European Union mission in Iraq announced the imminent launch of a basic education initiative worth (24) million euros during the celebration hosted by the European Union on the occasion of International Women’s Day.[/size]
[size=45]The European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Thomas Seiler, said in his speech during the celebration that “International Women’s Day was established 100 years ago to celebrate them and obtain their rights,” stressing, “We, as representatives of the European Union in Iraq, are committed to international teachings to empower women, even in work, companies, and the army.” And the police and in all departments in a way that contributes to the economy and we continue to cooperate with the government to remove obstacles,” stressing “the necessity of working together to create teams to empower women. We will continue to reach reliable data on women’s rights and ensure their implementation and political inclusion,” calling for “working together to guarantee human and women’s rights.” “During the Corona pandemic, violence against women has increased.”[/size]
[size=45]Seiler confirmed, “We will soon launch a basic education initiative worth (24) million euros in cooperation with the Ministry of Education to enhance basic education in Iraq for (4) years,” explaining that “the goal of the program is to work with the Iraqi government to create curricula and empower teachers and teaching methods, as we will launch The program will take place within two or three weeks,” and “basic education and women’s rights must be included, and this concept must be disseminated among girls and boys, and currently there is cooperation with the Supreme Council for Women,” expressing his happiness “to work with the government and Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.”[/size]
