On Saturday, the Ministry of Industry revealed the implementation of projects to produce pipes for irrigation systems, harvesters, and agricultural tractors.
The Ministry’s spokeswoman, Doha Al-Jubouri, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the Ministry has two projects to rehabilitate, develop, and operate sprinkler irrigation devices, tractors, and agricultural harvesters, and the completion rate in them has reached 63% within the timetable for completion, until the end of the semester.” First of 2024.
She added, "Work is also continuing to implement the provisions of the government program, as the second phase of rehabilitating the pipe factory has been implemented through the installation of an integrated laboratory and within international specifications for the production of pipes for locally-made pivot sprinkler irrigation systems."
Regarding the agricultural tractors and harvesters project, Al-Jubouri explained, “The second phase has been started to rehabilitate and operate the SKD line and the CKD line, and all the necessary requirements to start this phase have been completed,” indicating, “All members of the engineering and technical staff have been trained on the assembly work for these lines, and the training has been completed in Mechanics site, under the supervision of New Holland Company experts, for the purpose of starting the production of new batches of tractors before the start of the agricultural season.”
