Communications is making progress in the fourth license project

The "Salam General Company" in the Ministry of Communications announced that progress has been achieved in the project for the fourth national mobile phone license, which will operate according to the fifth generation (5G) system.
The director of the company’s commercial department, Haider Hadi Hashem, told Al-Sabah: “More than one company has applied to cooperate with the Ministry of Communications to operate the fourth national license, which will be for the fifth generation (5G), so that it can compete with other companies that operate according to the (4G) system in Internet and communications service.
He added, "The system will be purely Iraqi and a national product par excellence," noting that "the ministry will select a reputable international company with a long history in the field of mobile phone operation to cooperate with it to launch this license in cooperation with the ministry."
Hashem stated that “the company is now controlling the Internet throughout Iraq through international access portals,” stressing that “the company has achieved remarkable success for more than a year in producing a car tracking device (GBS), which is comparable to what exists in the world, and the company has cooperation With a number of ministries, such as oil and finance, providing more than one model to track their vehicles.
