{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Communications issued a clarification on the fourth generation mobile license.
"The fourth license was a government decision of the Council of Ministers in 2007 and there was another decision in 2010 to allocate this license to the Ministry of Communications," the technical agent of the Minister of Communications Amir al-Bayati told the {Euphrates News}.
He pointed out that "there was a dispute between the Media Authority and the Ministry of Communications on frequencies and life moved in 2015 to obtain the approval of the Council of Ministers and issued a resolution in favor of, and formed at the beginning of 2018 a committee headed by the Prime Minister and the membership of the media body and the Ministries of Finance and Communications to launch the fourth license for the new generation."

On the payment of the debts of telecommunications companies, Al-Bayati explained that "the contracts of the three companies were with the Communications Authority and the Ministry has nothing to do with debt repayment.
