Shafaq News/ Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced that clues had been reached that would lead to the arrest of those involved in launching a drone attack on the “Kormor” gas field in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, according to what the State Administration Coalition announced on Sunday.
The coalition said in a statement today that it discussed during its regular meeting held yesterday, Saturday, at the government palace, the results of the visit of the Iraqi delegation, headed by Prime Minister Shia Al-Sudani, to Washington.
According to the statement, while the coalition appreciated the efforts of the government and the Iraqi delegation in investing in all opportunities, the attendees stressed the importance of building strong relations with various countries of the world, and the importance of following up on all agreements and turning them into useful action.
The statement also said that the coalition discussed the visit of Turkish President Erdogan to Iraq, expressing the “depth” of the relationship with Turkey and the necessity of developing it in accordance with the interests of the two peoples and the two countries, especially with regard to security, water and agriculture.
In its statement, the coalition stressed the great importance of the development road project as an Iraqi project that achieves common interests for the partner countries in the project.
At a time when the coalition condemned the criminal bombing that targeted the Cormor field, the Prime Minister announced that clues had been found leading to those involved, saying that they would be brought to justice as soon as the investigation was completed.
The coalition also expressed the importance of resolving the election of a speaker for the House of Representatives urgently.

A drone attack on Friday on the Kormor gas field in the Kurdistan Region led to the killing of four Yemeni workers, and gas supplies to power plants stopped, causing production to decrease by about 2,500 megawatts.
No group has claimed responsibility for the repeated attack for the second time this year, and the eighth in two years.
The Kormor gas field has an area of 135 square kilometers and is the largest field producing free gas in Iraq. The proven reserves amount to 8.2 trillion cubic feet, while production reaches 452 million cubic feet of dry gas, 15,000 barrels of condensate, and more than 1,000 metric tons. of liquefied petroleum gas per day.
The field produces the gas necessary to generate 4,200 megawatts of electricity daily, of which 2,800 megawatts are sent to the Kurdistan Region and the rest to the Kirkuk and Nineveh governorates.
