    00:59:00 03/05/2016 |(Voice of Iraq) - Twilight NewsUndersecretary of the Ministry of Oil Fayyad blessing said that Iraq will pay for foreign oil companies arrears remaining for 2015 in theamount ofabout two billion dollars in April next and expects toreach an agreement on contracts by the middle ofthis year. The work ofinternational companies such as BP and Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon Mobil, Eni and Lukoil in thesouthern oil fields in Iraq under theservice whereby you get these companies on the dollar fees fixed for additional quantities produced decades. and imposed these agreements intense pressure over the treasures ofBaghdad as government revenues fell due to theerosion of oil prices as being Iraq talks with foreign companies to link the fees it collects for thedevelopment of fields crude prices. the blessing isresponsible for the source told Reuters operations in an interview in the southern city of Basra ,the oil -producing "average new agreement will help prevent inflate production costs and not to overburden the Iraq debt."he said that one of the ways to reduce costs forcompanies is to deliver drilling operations to the Iraqi government exploration companies or hiring workers local instead of foreign workers. He predicted thegrace that theincrease in production from Iraq in 2016 to be "very modest" due to reduced investment budgets forforeign companies affected by thefall in oil prices. He added that it was likely toreach an agreement with PetroChina, Exxon Mobil and other energy companies by the end of this year about investing in aproject thataims to boost production of small foreign fields. a typical "South integrated project , " which isestimated tocost billions ofdollars to build oil pipelines and storage facilities , and a project topump water from the Gulf to maintain pressure and enhanced oil recovery. and will contribute to investment companies in raising production from the fields of oil and Artawi River bin Omar and theconstruction ofinfrastructure and energy. He said a blessing that thescheduled use of revenues generated byincreased production from the two fields to repay investors dues.He noted the deputy minister that Iraq is working with BP to update theoutdated facility topump water in Karma , north of Basra to supply the oil fields ofRumaila, Zubair necessary to promote theproduction ofwater. The project iscurrently pumping more than a million barrels of water per day and there areplans to increase production to three million barrels. being Iraq talks with foreign engineering companies to build a new oil port Barre to increase theexport capacity of thecountry. And it will reach theexport capacity of thenew port to 2.5 million barrels a day. He said a blessing ,"we chose theright place for the port toexport the new oil, which will ensure that we have the full flexibility to export oil additional product." [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
