Research and Planning Minister Salman Jumaili with the vice minister of land, infrastructure and transport in the Republic of South Korea (km Kyung-hwan) the role of the country's companies in the reconstruction of liberated areas in addition to ways to develop bilateral relations in the economic, investment and technical fields.

He called Jumaili "Korean companies to participate in the reconstruction of liberated areas through the implementation of large projects process," adding that "the government has developed a plan for the reconstruction consists of two axes, the first axis is the axis of restoring stability through the provision of basic services to the population and the duration of this program from one month to one year and begins work immediately after the liberation of areas. The second axis is the process of reconstruction and includes basic infrastructure and social and economic rehabilitation and assistance. "
He pointed out that "these themes represent a good opportunity for the Korean side to contribute to them , and specifically in the field of water and sewage networks, electricity, roads provide.".
For his part , the Korean Minister expressed " the desire of his country to support Iraq in the reconstruction of liberated areas as well as the implementation of other projects in the provinces of Iraq , " adding that " one of the important projects implemented by Korean companies is a project Basmajh residential and venture refinery in Karbala and other projects."
He expressed his "Korean companies are ready to contribute to the implementation of the road link between Basmajh complex and center of the capital in order to encourage housing in this giant project."
During the meeting, they discussed a number of projects to be signed between the two agreements, including a project for technical cooperation agreement which is under study, and a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of statistics.
