[ltr]Parliament (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called the political blocs to hold an urgent meeting to discuss the security situation in Iraq.[/ltr]
[ltr]In his speech while celebrating the 32nd anniversary of establishing Badr Organization on Saturday, Hakim said “We all should feel responsibility towards rehabilitating the security situation in Iraq, at a time we appreciate the concerted efforts shown by the security forces, we must point to the defects and flounder experienced by the security institution.”[/ltr]
[ltr]“On this occasion, we called on the Iraqi leaders to hold an urgent meeting to confer about addressing the major security risks and discuss setting strategic security views,” he added.[/ltr]
[ltr]He urged to upgrade the relations with the neighboring countries and cooperate with them to reach a system that helps protect the region’s security.[/ltr]
