Iraq receives the 13th, Boeing plane end of 2017

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: The Iraqi Airways announced that the US Boeing company will resume its
contract with Iraq by handing over its 13the. Plane in the last quarter of this year, after making amendments on the contract.
Iraq has a contract with US Boeing company to buy 45 planes, which was signed in 2008 to enhance its fleet which was destroyed during the Gulf wars.
The amendments on the contract covered the change of the engine to be pro-environment , enlarging seats, additional recreation facilities and internet, as well as reducing the amount of the contract.
In August, 2015, Iraqi Transport Ministry announced that the Iraqi Airways got a 2-billion dollar loan from a US bank to finance purchasing modern Boeing 777 and Dreamliner planes.
The last plane received by Iraq was in October, 2015.
