South Korean military announced on Sunday for North Korea fired a missile on the east coast, but the attempt failed.
A statement by the South Korean army, "North Korea tried to make a launch this morning, South Hamgyong Province Sinbo process, but the attempt failed according to our estimates," noting that the analysis process.
The statement said that the rocket did not move away from the site launched from the mainland, as set out to a distance of about 60 kilometers, while US officials is likely to be a missile Scud medium-range, which operates fuel liquid, and cut only a small distance from the range before they get out of the control.
In turn, the South Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement that "North Korea show a variety of offensive missiles during the military parade, which took place yesterday and embarking on the launch of a ballistic missile on a show of force that threatens the whole world."
South Korean officials also warned of punitive action if it led to other provocations, such as a nuclear test or launch a long-range missile.
The attempted launch of the missile, a day after North Korea organized a military parade in the capital, Pyongyang, on the occasion of the 105 anniversary of the birth of the founder of the state, which offered new ballistic missiles. Finished / 25
