    Masoum calls for giving the private sector an opportunity to contribute to the development of the Iraqi economy

    President of the Republic Fuad Masoum stressed the need to give the private sector a real opportunity to contribute to the development of the Iraqi economy, pointing out the need to provide legislation and requirements to activate its contribution to reconstruction, industry and agriculture. He also called on the Jordanian and Iraqi private sector residing in Jordan to employ in Iraq, Economic and investment relations between the two countries.
    "Jordan's investments are highly valued at all levels in Iraq, which considers Jordanian investors to be strategic partners and is keen to remove any," Masoum said during a meeting at his residence in Amman with a distinguished elite of Jordanian and Iraqi businessmen and investors. He pointed out that his country has urgent and comprehensive aspirations to achieve sustainable economic development and that the agreement to promote and protect investment between the two countries can push the economic and investment development between the two countries forward.
    He stressed the need to strengthen and strengthen the vital participation of Iraqi investors residing in Jordan and abroad in general welcome to participate in all economic activities, noting their competence, and the need to provide legislation and requirements to protect their rights and interests.
    On the other hand, the participants stressed the strong relations of brotherhood and cooperation between the two countries and their keenness to strengthen them. They also reviewed a number of difficulties facing their projects and their work in Iraq, stressing their aspiration for stronger activation of joint relations in the fields of investment and economic and all endeavors to overcome the economic relations between the two countries.
