"
    According to the statement of integrity, article 8 of the proposed draft law states: "Any person who deliberately conceals information required in the form shall submit a false information that has been proven to have an illicit interest relationship.     The Commission cited the reasons for the positive draft law as "to protect public funds and to subject those who exploit their jobs to illicit enrichment to legal accountability".
    In response to the requirements of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which was signed by Iraq under Law No. 35 of 2007, article 20 of which states: "Each State Party shall, subject to its Constitution and the fundamental principles of its legal system, Legislative and other measures are required to criminalize the unlawful enrichment by a public official of any excess of his assets which he can not reasonably explain in relation to his legitimate income ".
