Israel threatens to sabotage Lebanon
Israeli Education Minister Naftali Bennett on Monday threatened to sabotage Lebanon as a whole if Hezbollah attacks Israel.
"Israel's interest is to prevent another confrontation with Lebanon, so our new strategy is simple: Lebanon is equal to Hezbollah, and Hezbollah is equal to Lebanon," Bennett said in a press release.
"Unlike the Second Lebanon War, this time we will not differentiate between the Organization and the State of Lebanon, which means that any attack by Hezbollah will cause destruction throughout Lebanon and its institutions," he said.
Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah accused him of "defending Lebanon but doing the opposite and destroying it." According to him.
"The State of Israel does not seek to avoid a war with Lebanon, but on the other hand it must know that there are consequences for the unilateral steps that threaten the security of the State of Israel." Finished
