"Israel" intends to approve the 176 new settlement units in East Jerusalem

Israel's Planning and Building Committee is to approve the construction of 176 settlement units in the settlement of Neveh Zion in East Jerusalem's Jabal al-Mukaber, the Channel 2 news agency reported Wednesday.
The non-governmental channel said that the approval of the settlement plan was made in 1994, but the ratification will be next Wednesday.
After its approval and implementation, "Neve Zion" will be the largest Israeli settlement in East Jerusalem.
The channel did not mention why the plan was delayed for all these years.
Israeli estimates indicate that more than 220,000 live in 10 Israeli settlements on East Jerusalem.
