North Korea: Any naval blockade will be considered a "declaration of war"

North Korea said on Thursday it would consider any naval blockade imposed by the United States a "declaration of war" and warned it would take "strict self-defense" measures.
A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said the naval blockade would be a "flagrant violation" of the sovereignty and dignity of the state.
She added that US President Donald Trump was taking "a very dangerous step towards a nuclear war" by seeking to impose such a blockade. The US proposal, which the IAEA refers to, was not immediately clear.
"If the United States and its followers try to impose a naval blockade on our country, we will consider it a declaration of war and we will respond strongly to self-defense with countermeasures, as we have repeatedly warned," the agency said.
