The deputy of the coalition of state law Jassim Mohammed Jaafar, that Washington and the Gulf countries as well as Turkey prevented Interpol from returning former electricity ministers Karim Wahid, including Samarrai and convicted Tariq al-Hashemi to Iraq for the purpose of prosecution.

"Interpol has become a front for the extradition of wanted men among the countries of the world and the file is no more than political deals between the countries of the world," Jaafar said in a press statement.

He added that "Washington has provided protection to former electricity ministers, including Samarrai and Karim Wahid after they fled Iraq and prevented them from being returned to the country for the purpose of prosecution, despite the large number of files against them."

He explained that "dozens of wanted terrorists and others, headed by Tariq al-Hashemi are present in Turkey and the Gulf countries and the transformation of these countries without arrest through Interpol," adding that "Interpol turned his decisions on political issues on the subjects of extradition."

He pointed out that "the former Minister of Trade Abd al-Falah al-Sudani has become a victim of Interpol issues and handed over to Iraq after he was accused of corruption and abandonment of his party."

The former trade minister Abdul Falah al-Sudani, wanted for the Iraqi government arrived, last Thursday, to Baghdad airport.

On May 2, 2010, the Iraqi Integrity Commission announced that it would appeal against the decision of the Rusafa Criminal Court, which cleared the former Minister of Commerce Abd al-Falah al-Sudani of all charges against corruption cases, denying the existence of new evidence condemning the minister.

The judiciary in the Court of Investigation in the province of Muthanna issued on the seventh of June of last year 2009, a decision to release the Minister of Commerce Abdul Falah al-Sudani on bail of 50 million Iraqi dinars with the recommendation to prevent him from traveling until his trial again.
