The Iraqi capital will witness a large gathering of countries, investment companies and capital to participate in the reconstruction project in Iraq. It is expected that Iraq will receive large offers to complete the projects prepared by the Iraqi government in the liberated provinces and other provinces.

"More than 2,000 companies and businessmen will participate in the conference, where Iraqi officials will present their huge project," Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid al-Jarallah said.

"The first day will be dedicated to the institutions of society, while the second day will be devoted entirely to the private sector, while the last day will be the announcement of the financial contributions of the participating countries."

"The task is enormous," said Peter Hawkins, the UNICEF representative in Iraq. "If everyone is focused on Mosul, the second largest city in the country, which was the capital of the alleged" caliphate " Historical hill of rubble, we must not forget that other provinces such as Anbar, Diyala and Salahuddin also suffered from wars. "

"Housing is the main element, because 19 percent of the total destruction of the country has taken place in this sector, so more than 2.6 million people are still displaced," said Irfan Ali, director of the United Nations Housing Program in Iraq.

"At a time when the war was going on northward, the south of the country was spending huge cuts in the budget," Hawkins said. "There are some schools that take students two or three times a day."

To build or rehabilitate and stimulate "economic growth and services," according to Hawkins, the private sector should be drawn to give Iraqis, who live for about a quarter of them on less than $ 2 a day, access to health, education, social security and water resources.
