KUWAIT: Kuwait's oil minister, Bakheet al-Rashdi, said on Monday he expected to finalize an agreement to import Iraqi gas within months.
The oil minister Jabbar Ali Hussein al-Allaibi announced on 21 September that the joint technical committee between Iraq and Kuwait has made advanced and important steps to accelerate the implementation of the agreement to export Iraqi crude gas surplus from the need of Iraq from Rumaila field to Kuwait.
He added that "the agreement provides for the export of 50 million standard cubic feet per day of raw gas from Rumaila field in the province of Basra within the first phase, up to 200 million standard cubic feet per day within the second phase of the Convention.
