    Kuwait selects a global consultant to develop joint oil fields with Iraq

    KUWAIT CITY - The meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in Algeria will review the production figures in the OIC countries and abroad, the Oil Minister and the Kuwaiti Minister of Electricity and Water said on Thursday. A mechanism to follow up production next year.
    He added during statements to the press during his inspection tour of the "Doha East" power generating station, that Kuwait will choose a global consultant in agreement with Iraq to study the development of common fields between the two countries.
    Al-Rashidi added that "Kuwait and Iraq have identified 4 consultants currently to study the joint fields project, and that one of them will be chosen for this task."
     
    "Everyone knows that any fields shared by two parties must have an agreed production process, usually through a company or a team that divides production and costs," he said.
    On the importation of gas from Iraq, he said that "the process of importing Iraqi gas and the study of the joint fields between the two countries are proceeding at a steady pace and are in the process of discussions." He expected that "details of the projects will be agreed before the end of the current year."

    KUWAIT CITY - Kuwaiti Oil Minister Bakheet al-Rashidi expected Wednesday to conclude an agreement with Iraq on the import of gas and joint oilfields on both countries' borders before the end of 2018.
    Al-Rashidi said in a press statement during a tour of Doha's Eastern Electricity Station in Kuwait that his country and Iraq would be appointed as consultants to study the development of joint oil fields.
    He explained that the two countries have identified four advisers currently, and will choose one of them to study the joint oil fields project on the borders of the two countries.
    On the divided area between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, al-Rashidi predicted the return of the production of joint oilfields soon, without specifying a date.
    Khafji and Wafra fields are located in the neutral zone between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Their production ranges from 500 to 600,000 barrels of oil per day, equally between the two countries. Ending / 25
